Broker CPD is a certified CPD course provider. As per your triennial brokers licence conditions, a licensed customs broker is required to attend sufficient approved CPD courses to accrue a minimum of 30 points in each CPD year being 1st April to 31st March. CPD Points are allocated at a rate of 3 points per hour of attendance at an accredited course.

CPD Activity Requirements

As of 1st April 2015, CPD activities are divided into TWO categories being:

Stream A – An activity in this stream must:

(i) relate to the content of one of the core units of the approved course of study, i.e. the Diploma of Customs Broking; and

(ii) address at least one of the skills and abilities for the core unit(s) to which the activity is related.

Stream B – An activity in this stream must:

(i) cover a subject of relevance/importance to a customs broker, e.g. the supply chain, management; and

(ii) contain material that has been ‘contextualised’ (i.e .tailored) to the work of a customs broker.

Points Requirements: Brokers must complete a total of 30 CPD points per CPD year providing not more than 12 points are accrued from Stream B in any single CPD year. Our system automatically ensures your compliance with these requirements when obtaining the full 30 points via the Broker CPD platform.

For brokers newly licensed in the past 12 months:

Customs will require a newly licensed broker to undertake 5 points for every two months remaining in the CPD financial year in which they received their licence. Customs will then require the broker to undertake the standard CPD requirements for all future financial years in the licence period.

IMPORTANT: Compliance points may only be accrued during the current CPD year and points are non-transferrable between CPD years.
