Participants may wish to refer to other information sources (but it is not a requirement).
Participants must obtain a result of 100% to pass the assessment.
Original assessment consists of category ‘a’ questions. Supplementary assessment questions consist of category ‘b’ questions.
In each attempt, participants must complete all questions prior to the system offering another attempt at the failed questions. assessment A is mandatory to complete first attempt. If 100% pass is achieved then no further assessment is required. If you fail assessment A then participants must complete assessment B. assessment B can be attended multiple times until 100% PASS.
The assessment is mandatory for all accredited persons of approved arrangement class 19.1 non-commodity for containerised cargo clearance (NCCC) to complete.
Objectives:
- Understand the role that accredited persons play in Australia’s biosecurity system.
- Explain the key sections of the Biosecurity Act 2015 and the compliance and enforcement tools that are available under the act.
- Understand the due diligence responsibilities for accredited persons operating under approved arrangement class 19.
- Describe what is a ‘reportable biosecurity incident’ and a ‘biosecurity breach’, and the procedures to notify the department.
- Explain DAFF’s current key projects and initiatives and how they will impact accredited persons.
